Drugs Before Breakfast was a short-lived (6 months?) Philly based band which came about when SInger/Songwriter Dan Montgomery and drummer Joe Ankenbrand met during rehearsals for Peter Stone Brown's "Rolling Fumbler Revue" in late 1993. When Dan first played "Nervous Boy", Joe's reaction was "When do we cut the single?" Teaming up with Tequila Worms' guitarist and bassist Mike Zinni and Paul Fredrickson, and with maybe two rehearsals, the band drove to Baltimore in April of 1994 and recorded these tracks (mostly 1st takes) in one day at the great Invisible Sounds studio with Dave Nachotsky at the board. Dan sang lead, played rhythm guitar, and wrote all the songs except "The Other Guy" written and sung by Mike Zinni. Mike and Joe ,"The Moron Tabernacle Choir", sang back-up. Dan also played organ on "Spinning My Wheels"

The session was produced by Mike Vogelmann (aka Rasputin) so seamlessly we forgot to mention it...sorry Mike ! (you're SO fly...)

Soon after this date, Dan moved to Michigan, and the rest carried on as "Stupid Club" .with Mick Cancer on vocals
